What about classes?

Group classes offer real benefit for socialisation - getting your dog used to being out and about with other dogs. Unfortunately, time restraints mean there is never enough time to answer all of your questions, focus on individual problems or even ensure that your handling is correct.

Often the lessons taught in classes are hard to transfer to everyday situations, which means you can attend a group class for years and still not have a dog that comes back on the first command.

That's why Di recommends combining one-to-one training with a class rather than undertaking a class in isolation.
